Cellulose acetate is a bioplastic material typically made from wood pulp cellulose that was first developed in the 1800's.  
It is most commonly used in the manufacturing of frames for eyeglasses and comes in many colors and patterns.  The original Legos were also made from this material.  
CA is a flexible and durable material that has a sort of buffalo horn look and feel to it up close.  
 
*Do not use acetone on this material*
